A new version of Ran Out of Firewood

Last January, I came up with a photographic concept of a Christmas tree that disappeared – leaving its lights and ornaments behind. Such became the image Ran Out of Firewood.

I’ve already submitted this image in the upcoming 3D International Photography Competition in Vienna, and I want to do more with it.

So I went back to the artwork – I took the image of the tree, the image without the tree, and the image with the lights and ornaments only – and I combined them into an animated image.

As in … this animated image.

So now the plan is … send the three images off to my lenticular printer in Toronto and see if he can create an animated three-dimensional image that, as you walk from left to right, the tree disappears right before your very eyes.

And when that image arrives … you know it’s going into every short pile for Competition Season 2023 that I can produce.

You know it will.
