A prayer for the safe return of Jenni-Lyn Watson

This isn’t my normal area of expertise.  My blog isn’t equipped to do things like hunt down missing teenagers or reunite lost family members.  I’m Chuck Miller.  I’m not John Walsh.

But someone brought me an article about a missing Syracuse college student, and asked if I could at least help spread the word.

Take a look at the picture of this girl.

Her name is Jenni-Lyn Watson, and the last time anyone saw this Mercyhurst college student was last Friday, November 19th.  She was home to visit her family in Liverpool, just outside of Syracuse.  Her description is in the photograph above; she was carrying a Verizon LG enV3 cell phone with a blue cover.

There is already a Facebook webpage created for anyone who might have information on the girl’s whereabouts.  Anyone with any knowledge of Ms. Watson’s location or condition is encouraged to contact the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Department at (315) 435-3081.

As of the time of this blog post, Syracuse TV station WSYR reports that emergency crews and law enforcement agencies have been targeting a wooded area off Waterhouse Road, bordered by Morgan Road and Henry Clay Boulevard as they continue the search.

There’s more information on Jenni-Lyn on this website, which can also give you updates on what’s happening with regard to the search.

This is undoubtedly every parents’ worst nightmare.  I don’t even want to think about the worst case scenario.  All I can do, from this tiny little weblog, is spread the word and pray for the best possible result – that she’s okay, unharmed, and back to her family’s home in time for Thanksgiving dinner.
