Sébastien Barré is about as big a fan of the upcoming “TRON: Legacy” film as I am. Although we have some disagreements on the film – he’s psyched that Daft Punk is doing the soundtrack, while I’m still hoping Wendy Carlos can come back for a cameo appearance – he sent me a video clip of a “TRON: Legacy” mash-up on YouTube. The mash-up features the soundtrack to one of the “TRON: Legacy” movie trailers, interspersed with footage from the classic film “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.”
Really good stuff.
And of course, if Sebastien can find one video clip, I’m gonna find ten. Ten different “TRON: Legacy” mash-ups and parodies. Yes, I want to see this film. Yes, you should see it too. So here we go. Enjoy.

Haha, nice. BTW, I’ve listened to the soundtrack 12 times by now, and I don’t think you will be disappointed. I don’t think Wendy Carlos would disapprove either. It sounds like Daft Punk, it feels like Tron, and it’s very soundtrack-ish (lots of strings, unusual for DP, they took the job seriously). It’s less aerial than Carlos’ work because DP’s is more about low frequency / bass / distortion, but I love it. Some tracks are really menacing (“Disc Wars”, “Recognizer”, “CLU”), you can tell what it’s all about. Again, can’t wait.

There will be an advanced screening of Tron Legacy on Dec. 15 at a local theatre if you are interested in going.

@GTPO: which theater? I’ve my tix for the IMAX3D show Thursday 16th at midnight (2 weeks, wohoo), but if that theater has a good screen, I’m interested…

I think GTPO was trolling. Chuck being a Tron fan, I doubt he wouldn’t have tried to contact him about the screening, and let us know 🙂 Or maybe GTPO got confused with usual advanced screening the night before at midnight?
