So I had a good laugh this morning, as I found out that the City of Troy has been using a series of photographs of a Boston neighborhood as part of their letterhead and advertising.

Well, never let it be said that I don’t have sympathy for the City of Troy in its plight. So for all you people in Troy’s front office, let me provide you with some photographs of the City of Troy that you can use for your future advertising and promotional work.
Let’s start, for example, with this beautiful shot of Troy’s government building that I took last year at Christmastime.
Doesn’t this picture just make you want to recall the beauty that is the Collar City?
And nothing says “I work in Troy and I’m proud of it” than an iconic shot of one of Troy’s long-standing factories.
Oh yeah, there are so many times I’ve played competitive team trivia at Brown’s and walked outside and just marveled at that beautiful sign.
And nothing says “Rensselaer County” more than a night out at the drive-in. Why, this marquee from one of the last remaining outdoor passion pits will bring a lot of memories to any Trojan out there!
And of course, Troy’s downtown area should be promoted as much as possible. Especially the restaurants…
and the comfort food…
And decent prices for petroleum…
And even a place to get a cool drink.
I’m telling you, Troy has it all. And these photographs of Troy should be used at all times to promote the city and its culture.
Oh, and don’t let me forget about these Hudson River photographs…
I’m telling you, if the public hadn’t noticed the connection between your prior photographs and Troy, they won’t notice the difference with these photos!

don’t forget a certain tower up on Mt. Ida…

Took off from the Troy Airport, today, and was able to see many of these Trojan treasures. Next time–so that I’ll have an unobstructed view–I’m planning on flying plane-less.

I use to work in Troy and I missed all these Trojan landmarks! Guess I’ll have to find a guide to take me around.
