Don’t sign your name until you see… Chuck Miller Ford in Clear Lake City, Texas!

How cool is this?

Last week I was puttering around eBay and decided to punch in my name “Chuck Miller” into the search engine.Β  And lo and behold, I found something cool.

Apparently there was a “Chuck Miller” Ford car dealership near Houston, Texas.Β  And they, like every other car dealership, had customized car badges for their stock.Β  Today, those badges are either decals or license plate frames, but back in the day they were either made of molded plastic or metal.Β  You might still see a few of them around this area – old cars with badges from Marsh Hallman Chevrolet or Ted Pepper Chrysler-Plymouth.

Chuck Miller Ford doesn’t exist any more; the company was bought by another dealership, and became Bay Area Ford for a few years.Β  Today, it’s McRee Ford, and has earned 18 Ford President’s Awards, including 13 in a row.

And someone was selling a car badge from the original Chuck Miller Ford.

Hell yeah I had to get that.Β  And a few days later, it arrived in the mail.

Aces.

Now I’m never going to put this on Cardachrome – no self-respecting GM car would ever be caught dead with a Ford emblem – but in order to get this picture, I had to find someone in the neighborhood with a Ford car.Β  And it had to be a decent Ford car – not an Escort or a Fiero or some piece o’ junk like that.Β  Luckily, there was a nearby Ford Explorer…

And I got this photograph.

Okay people, here’s the opportunity you’ve been savoring for ages.Β  Based on what you’ve read in my blog over the past two years, what kind of advertising taglines would you expect at “Chuck Miller Ford”?

You know the rules.Β  Keep it clean, but keep it interesting.
