Have you had one of those mornings where you just didn’t feel like getting out of bed… and when you did, you sleepily chose to get out of the wrong side of the bed and crashed into the wall?
Yep. Happened to me more than once.
So if you’re having a really down day today, or if you ever have one of those “down days”, I think you need to watch this movie clip.
This is two-thirds of the vaudeville team of Wilson, Keppel and Betty – although this clip doesn’t have any Betties in it. In this clip, Jack Wilson and Joseph Keppel perform their famous “sand dance,” where they sprinkle sand on a stage and strike several Egyptian poses. Have a look and a smile.
Laugh if you must, but this is definitely the 1930’s edition of “Walk Like an Egyptian.”
Well, you managed to cheer me up with it. 🙂
Although, watching that clip – and some of the recommended clips, such as “Cleopatra’s Nightmare” – with the sound off made me realize that 95% of Michael Jackson’s moves were just modified tap dancing moves done to 80’s and 90’s music. Who knew?

Hi Chuck! Thanks for inspiring us to write more. What a great blog you have here. Even on a “bad day” you manage to write a blog that cheers everyone up. Rich and I are going to work on these dance moves and put them in the act! -Melanie 🙂
