Do you want to own a framed copy of “The Railsplitter” and help the victims of Tropical Storm Irene? Sure you do!!

This Sunday, at the Savannah’s / Dublin Underground restaurant at the corner of State and Pearl Streets in downtown Albany, there will be a “Rock for the Region” concert and silent auction, with all monetary proceeds going to the Red Cross of Northeastern New York to help families who have been affected by the devastating power of Tropical Storm Irene.  Pay $20 at the door, and you get some great music by local bands, as well as the opportunity to participate in a clothing and furniture drive, a raffle and a silent auction.

And among the items offered as part of the silent auction – are two Chuck Miller framed artworks.

One of the artworks, “Star Trails of St. Agnes Cemetery,” is the time-lapse photograph that took first place in last year’s St. Agnes Cemetery Photography Contest.  It is framed in a beautiful red wooden frame and is ready for hanging in your home.

The second artwork, “The Railsplitter,” is the Kodachrome artwork, framed in distressed wood, that recently took silk at the Altamont Fair.  It’s a  big picture – 24 inches by 36 inches – but it’s also ready to hang and display in your house or office.

That’s right.  I’m putting two of my award winning artworks out there and you can purchase either of them – or both of them – with the highest bid.

Now while you’re bidding on these artworks, spend some time listening to the various bands that will be performing all day – including the Ill Funk Ensemble, the Chris Dukes Band, the Getdown, Voodoo Lily, the Hearing Aides and the Big Idea.  There will also be a clothing and furniture drive organized by Miranda Real Estate Group – the Miranda Realty Group’s clothing and furniture drive are not affiliated with the Red Cross of Northeastern New York, and will be deistributed to agencies across the Schoharie Valley.

So if you want to get your hands on either of these artworks… and you also want to help those who are still rebuilding… here’s your big chance.  Do it now.
