Some fussy little considerations

First things first.  Vote with your heart and vote with your mind.  Don’t vote because I told you to or I didn’t tell you too.  Whether you’re voting for President or for who wins American Idol, vote for whom you want to win.

Okay.  Now that that’s out of the way…

Daniel Berman is trying to make a difference in the Times Union “Best of” poll, and he’s gotten pretty far with his efforts. He’s been able to convince the TU to add or modify various categories, so that divergent restaurants aren’t stuck competing in a generic, over-reaching category.  So for that, we can thank Daniel.

That being said, his FUSSYlittleBLOG is offering the FUSSYlittleBALLOT 3.0, in which he suggests various choices and write-in candidates for the Times Union’s Best of 2012 online poll.   His choices include everything from the best grocery store (he likes Hannaford), to Best Hamburger (he suggests writing in Max London’s in Saratoga Springs).

I suggest you loyal readers of my blog go visit Daniel’s FUSSYlittleBLOG and consider his choices in the TU Best Of poll.  I don’t agree with every one of them – come on, Wolff’s Biergarten as best sports bar?  Over Graney’s or the Ruck or any of the Recovery Rooms? – but at least he’s put some serious thought into the ballot, and you should look at his choices before making your own.

Oh, and by the way…

Please join Stephanie Snyder, Jeannine Trimboli, Jason Purvis and me for the first ever Times Union Community Bloggers Minigolf Tournament. We’re golfing to raise money for various charities, and you can donate to our charities by visiting this page..

Then join us on May 12, when we take on the miniature golf course at FunPlex Fun Park in East Greenbush. We’re going to have a good time, and we encourage you to join us!
