Hey guess what…
See this picture?

This is my picture “Barn Versus Weeds,” a 2010 Kodachrome shot of a Greenfield Center,N.Y. barn with a bad vegetation problem. This picture won an award at one of the photo competitions last year.
And now, a framed copy of this picture can be yours.
All you have to do is participate in this coming Wednesday’s “Relay for Life” trivia event at Martel’s at Capital Hills, 65 O’Neill Street in Albany. “Barn Versus Weeds” is one of the prizes available as part of a “bucket auction” – drop the tickets in the bucket and you might win the prize – in an effort to help raise money for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.
And I want to see all the Capital District’s trivia teams at this event.
You hear me, Tres Hombres? Lots of talk on the blog comments page, but until I see you there…
How about all you Skidmarks? Just be warned, the teams can only be a maximum of five players, so you may have to split your squad into six or seven mini-teams…
Poisons? Team Fist? Blue Mooned? Gramercy Riffs? Team Gretchen? Where are you? You gonna show up?
Because I want the best Capital District trivia teams to be there. No question. And I don’t care who wins the game.
So long as whatever money raised brings us all closer to making all forms of cancer treatable and curable.
To the point where the only unchecked growth of any organic material… are the weeds that overtook that Greenfield Center barn.
Is there a way to donate and have someone else get the bucket tickets? I can’t participate in trivia but would love a chance to win that photo and support the cause.

Why are you warning the Skidmarks about a 5 player maximum? Isn’t this the game that was won by Ed’s 6-player team last year?

This year the limit is five players per team, Dan. And you still haven’t answered the question… will Tres Hombres be there?

The limit was 5 players per team last year, too.
One never knows where the nomadic trivia juggernaut that is Tres Hombres will appear…but you should bring your crying hanky, just in case.

Dan, it really didn’t matter. We were so far ahead of you that it was a nonfactor. 😀

I understand,,,some teams can’t play by the rules and have to bring extra help… but as long as Baker can make it and we don’t get stuck with a mush-mouth fill-in host it should be a good time.

Hey, at least when I hosted the game and didn’t play it, you were in the lead….for a minute.
