99 and 44/100ths Pure Brick

I don’t know how many times I drove past this building in Cohoes.  But one day I looked up and saw a ghost sign.  Yep, another ghost sign for the collection.

Recognize the product that’s painted into the brickface?

Yep… it’s a bar of Ivory Soap.  The soap that floats.  99 and 44/100ths percent pure soap.

Just another example that proves we are often ambivalent to our surroundings.  And then, one day, when we least expect it… we see something and wonder… how long has it been there and how long have I missed seeing it?
