So here’s the game. On this edition of K-Chuck Radio, I went around the Internet and found a whole slew of “mash-ups” – instances where someone combined two different songs into one sorta seamless melange. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Back in the old days, they used to call this a “Medley” – taking two (or more) songs and soldering them together.
But here’s the K-Chuck trick for today.
I’m starting with two artists, then I swap out one artist for another and find another mash-up. The goal will be to actually get back to the two main artists. That, and see how much work it takes to solder two songs together that normally shouldn’t be bolted together. Sometimes these mash-ups work like you wouldn’t believe; other times you want to go find a pair of knitting needles and see how far you can stick them in your ears.
