If you never met Tony Barbaro, if you never read his Times Union community blog posts, or even the ones he wrote for other blog portals like Albany2Cents, you missed out on knowing a great man.
Tony passed away last Wednesday. He was only 45 years old.
At this moment, I want to share with you some of his Times Union blog posts. This is the kind of man who enjoyed life, he enjoyed his work with the Capital District Psychiatric Center, and he could give John Bonham and Ringo Starr lessons on how to drum. He was just that good.
Please enjoy these blogs. I read some of them today, and I’m still stunned by his passing. All my th0ughts and prayers to his wife and family.

I worked with that man for years at CDPC. We always gave each other a joke or a story every morning. He will be Greatly missed.

You’re right, Chuck. Tony could WRITE! Enjoyed many a chuckle and bursts of laughter.
A few years ago, in his, and my, early years of blogging on the TU, I met Tony for lunch at My Place, Delmar. Great couple of hours.
I can just picture Tony today. “Hey, Pete, like most Heavenly residents, I want to be on the welcoming committee”.

While I’ve never met Tony, I am quite saddened by this as I’ve read his writings numerous times and enjoy his humor. Very sad news.

I remember his wonderful and funny posts. I had wondered what happened to him and why he had not blogged for the East Greenbush blog for a while. I know why now.
He will be missed.
