The other day, I was traveling around, taking pictures with my film cameras and seeing how the day progressed.
Uh-oh. Stomach’s growling. Gotta go get me some eats.
And as I pulled into a nearby McDonald’s, I realized that I had arrived just as breakfast was ending… and lunch was beginning. The kitchen was still able to produce a few Egg McMuffins, but they were also making burgers as well.
You know what that means, don’t you? Yep. Chuck’s going to make some McFrankenfood.
Background.
In the past, I’ve ordered from McDonalds’ “secret menu” – the menu where you combine certain McFood items into new and unique sandwiches. I first tried the “McLand, Sea and Air Burger” – which involved combining a Quarter Pounder, a Filet O-Fish and a McChicken sandwich into one mega-sandwich.
Eventually my buddy Chad Polenz – he blogs on both the TU’s comic books and beer blogs – asked me if I wanted to try the “McManly” sandwich, which involved the combination of the McRib and French fries into one gastronomical anomaly.
So here I am with an Egg McMuffin and a cheeseburger. And a video camera built into my BlackBerry Q10 phone.
You know what that means, readers… Lights.. camera… Allez cuisine!!
So how did the Mc10:35 burger taste?
Honestly… it was okay. Not something I would beg McDonald’s to add to their main menu of items… but if I’m feeling a bit peckish and it’s the right time of the day… I might order another one.
What say you? Would you ever try to create your own McFrankenfood meal? And if so, would you dare nosh on a Mc10:35 burger? Or are you right now running to pray to the holy god of porcelain after watching these video clips?
Hmmm… I cannot say that I am *running* to the god of porcelain, but perhaps I am contemplating a visit! 🙂 I must say this, I admire both your pluck for doing this – and then documenting it as you have. Be who you are! (Thanks for the morning smile…)

I haven’t tried this yet because I’m usually just waking up at 1035 now that I work nights. Though that McDonald’s on Western Ave by Crossgates is open 24/7 now. I’m not sure if they serve breakfast all day, though. I’ll get around to this eventually. Certainly LOOKS good, though! Cheers!

Ever since I watched a documentary about pink slime used in hamburgers, especially at McD’s, I haven’t been able to even THINK about eating one. Hope you have a cast iron stomach!
