A chair at Crescent Creek

It’s Sunday morning.  There’s a nice coating of snow on the ground.

Let’s go shooting.

And that’s what I did.  The Nikon Df camera and I went for a leisurely Sunday drive, until we reached the hamlets of Crescent and Vischer Ferry.  In fact, I’m not sure whether I was in Crescent or Vischer Ferry… maybe they’re the same town, for all I know.

And as I drove along a winding road, I caught a glimpse of a beautiful creek, its snow-tinted banks winding through a forest path.  Nice.  Gotta get a shot of this.

Yeah, that’s a nice looking iron chair along the stream.

True story.  As I parked the car and hauled my camera gear (the Nikon, the tripod, my self) to the spot, I saw another car pull up, and the driver got out and took a picture of the creek with her cell phone camera.

Wow.  Popular spot.

Anyway, before you start griping at me about why I’m taking a lot of winter-stream pictures of late, this one is actually a bit different.  This shot was actually caught while I was experimenting with colored lens filters.  In this case, the original picture was photographed with a blue filter on the lens, then the picture was converted into black and white.

I like how this picture turned out… and it’s definitely something worth pursuing later on.

Plus, it wasn’t as chilly-cold last Sunday as it was a few weeks ago, when I took the Waterwish pictures.
