My entries for BUILT 2014

As much as I enjoy donating my photos and artworks for various charity auctions and fundraisers, I always appreciate being part of Historic Albany Foundation’s BUILT: Albany’s Architecture Through Artists’ Eyes fundraiser / art show.  This year, the event will take place on Saturday, November 1 at the DeWitt Clinton Hotel in downtown Albany, as part of a collaboration with Columbia Development and BBL Hospitality.

The proceeds from the art auction will go to restoration and preservation of Albany’s buildings and residences.  It also will allow the Capital Region’s artists, painters, photographers, sculptors and creative geniuses to show their interpretation of Albany’s iconic and unique architecture.

And yesterday, I received notice that my three entries for BUILT were accepted and will be part of the art show.  Good.

So which Chuck artworks made it to BUILT this year?

Oh, a Dream Window, a vintage roadside sign and an old tavern advertisement.

Okay, thanks for reading the blog today, have a great day!

Oh yeah… forgot something.

Maybe you’d like to know WHAT pieces I’m entering this year, wouldn’t you?

Well, lucky for everybody involved, I’ve created a little YouTube clip to show off the pieces.

Want to see?

SURE YOU DO!

That’s right… one Dream Window, one lenticular print, and one interactive “it lights up” artwork.  What was that about staying in my comfort zone?

So I hope you’re able to attend BUILT and bid on some amazing artworks by the Capital District’s best sculptors, painters, photographers, and artistic wonders.  Don’t let this opportunity pass you by.

Oh yeah, and I’ve got some artwork there as well. 🙂
