Help the Arc of Rensselaer County, play some trivia!

My friend Kevin Baker – he’s the boss behind the Capital District’s wildly successful “Trivia Nights Live” games – is currently setting up a major trivia match for this coming Thursday, November 6th.

This game is a special fundraiser for the Arc of Rensselaer County, who provides services and care to those Capital District residents with developmental disabilities.  From training and education, to family support and community inclusion, the Arc of Rensselaer County is an important advocate and aide to those in the Capital Region who need such an advocate.

So here’s the deal.  The game, which will be co-hosted by Baker and WNYT anchor Kumi Tucker, will be played Thursday night, November 6th, at Revolution Hall in Troy.  Each team can have a maximum of eight players on the squad (25 teams maximum for entry).  The top three teams at the end of the night will win prizes; there is also a 50/50 raffle and prizes available.

If you’re interested, the registration form is available at this hyperlink.

I can tell you right now, I’ve participated in several of Baker’s previous charitable fundraiser trivia games, and they’re a lot of fun.  It’s an opportunity to show off your knowledge of useless facts … and at the same time, you’re helping a worthy cause.

It’s also a great opportunity to put together your corporate team – whether it’s your co-workers, your fantasy football buddies or your frat bros – and bond with your crew while trying to answer those tough trivia questions.

I really hope to see many of the Capital District’s trivia teams at this event.  This is where trivia players can have a lot of fun.  And we can do something positive in the community as well.

Hope to see you there.
