I love this Revolog boutique film. Especially the Tesla formulations, which add lightning strikes right onto the film itself.
That being said, the other day I took a batch of Revolog Tesla film for a photo shoot. The thing with Revolog film is, you don’t know where or how the lightning will appear in the photos. You just have to trust in a little luck.

And sure enough, when I picked up my film from McGreevy Pro Lab today, I found a great shot of a Revolog lightning bolt striking, of all things, an ornage cemetery tombstone.
No, I had absolutely no idea that the lightning would match up with the tombstone, or that one of the lightning arcs would touch the cross atop the crypt. No idea at all.
That being said, I’m not complaining about the results.
And yeah, although Revolog is a color film, I decided to go with a muted sepia tint to this picture. Just to really make it seem otherworldly and chilly.
Then again, if a lightning bolt did strike a tombstone for real, I’d be running for my life out of the graveyard, shouting novenas and psalms and prayers and everything else.
And bringing the camera with me, because I’m not passing up another shot like that.
