I’ve entered my artworks at BUILT, Historic Albany Foundation’s charity fundraising auction, for nearly eight years. Ever since I submitted my first piece, a print of The AGFA Bridge Over Ansco Lake, my artworks have found new “forever homes” with art lovers throughout the Capital District.
Earlier this year, I submitted two photos and a burlap stitching project to this year’s BUILT “Call for Art” request.
Yesterday, I received word.
These were the three pieces I submitted.
LADIES MAKE THEIR OWN ENTRANCES

Yep, my wistful shot at North Lake Avenue, at what’s left of an old “Ladies’ Entrance” sign.
FORT ORANGE DAIRY AND FEEDS

Yep, this artwork – which garnered two ribbons in Competition Season 2018 – now has a chance to find a new home for itself.
And …
JESUS SAVES

Yes, one of my three “Triple Blue” pictures, a photo of the neon Mercy Mission sign, a photo that claimed blue silk at three different competitions back in the day.
Yesterday, I received word from Historic Albany Foundation. All three artworks have been ACCEPTED and will be at the Empire State Plaza Museum on Saturday, November 3 for that awesome BUILT gala!
So yeah, Charity Season is going quite well – three of my artworks will be up for bid / purchase on Saturday, November 3 at the Empire State Plaza Museum, while my fourth piece – Infrared Horizon 787 – gets its chance to shine at the Albany Institute of History and Art’s “Call for Art” on Wednesday, November 7.
This is so cool.
Can’t wait. 😀
Awesome, Chuck! Congratulations.
