In 1974, the comic strip Peanuts introduced a new recurring plotline – that of Snoopy leading a team of his bird friends as the “Beagle Scouts.” Snoopy would act as the scoutmaster, while the birds – Woodstock, of course, but at least three of his friends – would follow Snoopy on hikes and campouts.
This was a cute addition to the series. Trust me on this. Follow this link for an example of a Snoopy “Beagle Scouts” excursion.
The Beagle Scouts first appeared in Peanuts 50 years ago. To honor that anniversary, a company called Retrospekt is offering a Beagle Scouts apparel pack.
You have to see this.
Retrospekt offers a Beagle Scouts-themed 35mm camera, complete with branding and logo. Just what you need to capture that way cool photo after your long hike.

And while you’re hiking, if you don’t want to listen to your Beagle Scout master’s directions, you can put on these stylish Beagle Scout headphones and listen to music on your Beagle Scouts cassette player.

And the real prize – which unfortunately is currently sold out, but may be put back in production – is a Beagle Scouts-themed Polaroid 600 camera. How tasty is this?

Yeah, I’m really jonesing for that Polaroid Beagle Scouts camera. Here’s the link if anybody wants to order it for me for Christmas.
See … this is the kind of really cute souvenirs that would really put a smile on someone’s face. Heck, it might even make me re-enlist in the Boy Scouts, considering I never made it past the rank of Tenderfoot back in the day.
Or in the Beagle Scouts … I might have made it all the way to Tenderpaw. You don’t know. 😀
Nice 👌
