The Super Bowl is not only the most-watched television event of the year, it’s also the most detailed in camera work. The hosting network will feature hundreds of cameras from various angles and from unprecedented locations, to give the fans a totally immersible experience.
And they’ve even got one set of cameras based on something that happened in last year’s Super Bowl.
See, last year at Super Bowl 57, Kansas City’s Harrison Butker tried to put three points on the board. The ball, however, ran into the left upright and made a loud, loud DOINK upon impact.
Trust me, if you had someone clanging the uprights on a field goal attempt as a Las Vegas prop bet, you could have won some serious bank.
Apparently CBS, for hosting this year’s Super Bowl, is preparing for another Harrison Butker clang-a-rang. See this clip below.
Wow. Look at all that camera gear in action. Should make for lots of arguments on whether or not someone actually breaks the plane of the goal on a touchdown. Should make for lots of arguments on whether or not the receiver had complete and full possession of a disputed catch. Should make for lots of angles of someone’s girlfriend in the luxury box.
So … yeah. There will be plenty of cameras to experience this year’s Super Bowl. And I suppose this Steelers fan will actually sit down and watch it next week.
If for no other reason than to see what CBS does with all those cameras on the field.
And to see if I can win on another “hit the goalpost” doink prop bet for the second year in a row. 😀
