I still can’t wrap my brain around this. But ever since Donald Trump slithered back into the White House, and brought along Shadow President Elon-partheid Musk with him, they’ve been on a complete and hardcore goal – to strip away any accomplishments and mentions of Dale Earnhardt Incorporated from history.
I’m still not understanding all the hatred against the famed NASCAR race team. I mean, the 8 Chevrolet Monte Carlo was a dominant race car, especially when Dale Earnhardt Jr. was behind the wheel. That car finished in the Top 10 in four Cup seasons, with its highest achievement being a third-place finish in the 2003 Nextel Cup championship series.
Maybe they have an issue with the 15 car, or possibly against its driver, Michael Waltrip. I never really cared for Waltrip – I actually met him once, and he seemed as if he would have rather had a root canal sans novocaine than be at this event – but nobody could ever deny his talent behind the NAPA Auto Parts 15 Chevrolet Monte Carlo.
I mean … maybe MAGA are pissed that the team changed its name when it merged with Chip Ganassi Racing in 2007. People get so upset about name changes. You get used to calling a championship stock car circuit the Winston Cup, and then all of a sudden it’s the NEXTEL Cup, then it becomes the Sprint Cup, and then it changes into … little help … the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series or something … I lose track of the track.
But yeah, I keep hearing Trump and Musk and their collection of flying monkeys whining and kvetching about how there should be no mention of DEI anywhere. I mean, if you’re going to shit on the legacy of Dale Earnhardt Incorporated and that legendary race team …
Oh … you mean … that DEI isn’t the DEI they’re upset about?
It’s another DEI? Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion?
You mean … I made a mistake thinking that one DEI references another DEI?
You mean the same kind of mistake these MAGA chuds are making when they delete references to the World War II fighter plane that dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima, just because the plane’s name was Enola Gay? What’s next, are radio stations forbidden to play any music from Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, because they have songs in their catalog like “Enola Gay”, “Tesla Girls”, and two (2) songs name-checking Joan of Arc? Quel damage!
But the fact is, these MAGA turds have it figured out. If you minimize what you’re rallying against down to a series of initials, people might not understand the meaning behind those initials. “Oh yeah, you’re against DEI? Well, I’m against DEI as well!”
Sure you are. You’re probably still trying to figure out what CRT is when the MAGA honks were blathering about it two years ago.
So let me spell it out for you. When MAGA schtoinks claim they’re against DEI, it’s actually that they’re for their OWN version of DEI – which for them, means Discrimination, Exclusion, and Intolerance.
Yeah. That’s their DEI.
And they’re too stupid to understand that they’re just protesting a series of three letters, and they have absolutely no idea what those three letters mean.
And I’ll just leave it at that.
