Okay … one more Nightowl Radio Show for my 40th college reunion.

Well, this is interesting. And although I thought about not doing this for at least a hot five seconds … I’m doing it. Of course I am.

This June, I will attend my 40th college reunion at Hamilton College, which still amazes me that they even let me attend the college – and eventually let me graduate with an actual diploma and not one that someone mocked up for me as a joke. Among the many emails I received from the college reunion committee was the notice that returning alumni would “take over” college radio station WHCL for the weekend.

A couple of emails later, and I had the Friday 7:00 p.m. hour slot – the home of my 1982-1985 (and later 2020-2024) run of “The Nightowl Radio Show” for an hour-long broadcast.

Oh, this will be EPIC.

My plan is to put together a mix of music that would have entertained the Mohawk Valley during the 1982-85 years, and since I only have an hour of time, I’m most likely limited to about twelve or thirteen songs. No extended play tracks, no remixes, no goofy stuff.

Of course, nobody said anything about adding a few appearances from my artificially intelligent co-host WrHCL, did they? Yeah, I can bring WrHCL back for one more hour. If for no other reason than to allow that little digital sprite a few jokes on my behalf.

So yeah, if you happen to check out the blog on June 6, 2025, and you see the logo for the Nightowl Radio Show and a playlist … your ears will NOT deceive you. Trust me on this.

Yeah, I know I said I was retired from college radio.

Yeah, and the Who said they retired from touring. Way back in 1982.

See how well that went? 😀
