I wanted to get a shot of the low-hanging “Strawberry Moon” last night, and after a frantic drive to three different shooting locations – location A was blocked by trees, location B was blocked by street lights, and location C was blocked by some creepy guy who smelled like he spent four days at the race track – and I don’t mean at the betting window – I finally decided on a “honey hole” location.
My “honey hole,” to be precise, is the large RCA “His Master’s Voice” plaster statue atop the old RTA building on Broadway.
While I set up my film camera for a few shots, I tried to get something concrete with my cell phone camera.
And after a few tries here and there, adjusting as necessary …
I lined up the back of Nipper’s head with the moon.
And look what came out.

Sweet tap-dancing Jesus, I got that shot. I’m saving this one as a last-minute Competition Season entry. Maybe even preserve this for BUILT 2025.
Yeah. This will work nicely for me. 😀
