The Viewing of a Fractured Coin of the Rebellion

Although Competition Season 2025 is still currently in play, I am pleased that at least one of my artworks has garnered some notice.

Specifically, this one.

This is A Fractured Coin of the Rebellion, aprint made by using a macro lens to photograph a Civil War storefront token – along with four other Civil War storefront tokens in the insets.

For the next month, it’s on display as part of the “Tender Tragedies” art show at Paint Cohoes Gallery.

Last Friday, I went to the opening night of the Paint Cohoes gallery show, and checked out the amazing artwork on display. And while I was checking out all the other artwork … other visitors were checking out MY artwork.

And of course, now I’m thinking to myself … maybe this won’t be a one-off appearance for my artworks at Paint Cohoes. Maybe, just maybe, the next time they have a Call for Art … I should participate. I mean, it’s a great way to support the local artistic community, right? And it gets my artworks to the public view, right? And everybody benefits, right?

Right.

Let’s see if this first appearance of a Chuck Miller art piece at Paint Cohoes …

Will actually be the “first” of many.
