The kindest thing I could ever say about Megyn Kelly is that she has this unerring ability to use “weasel words” to back up her spurious and specious and two-sided claims whenever necessary.
And yesterday, her discussion about – and, apparently, defense of – sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein was full of such weasel-worded bilge.
This is part of her SiriusXM radio podcast, and I’ll just leave this here for you to (ahem) enjoy.
She starts out with the classic “weasel word” definition of quoting an anonymous source that allegedly knows about the Epstein case, suggesting that that person considered Epstein to not be a pederast because Epstein liked girls who were “barely legal” – i.e., 15 or 16 years old – rather than prepubescents.
Say what??
She then goes on to blather, “I’m not giving you an excuse for this, I’m only giving you facts.” But they’re not facts. They’re an opinion from a third-hand source. That’s like saying, “I think JD Vance has had sexual relations with a couch,” and then following it up with, “I’m not giving you an excuse for this, I’m merely giving you facts.”
Although …
But then comes the real stomach turner. Megyn Kelly then says, “Well, we haven’t seen anyone come forward and say, ‘I was eight years old when I came into his purview.'” So what? The age of consent in most states is 18. Last time I checked my arithmetic books, 15 < 18. Therefore, Epstein pederasty involved girls under the age of consent, whether they be 15 or 14 or anything else below that threshold. It’s not the “close enough to see, close enough for me” argument. Ugh.
And let’s face it. Megyn Kelly uses these weasel words and flimsy logical fallacies to stay on whatever side of the fence protects her in MAGA world. And she’ll use those weasel words to cover her arguments like they were aluminum foil on a pot roast.
Once you do understand how Megyn Kelly uses those weasel words … you can truly decipher her intent and her meaning behind her diatribes. Because if you call her out on these topics, she can just say, “Nuh-uh, not me, I said ‘someone close to me told me this,’ so I’m innocent, la la la la la la, putting fingers in my ears so I can’t hear you any more.” And if you question her further on this, she can use the argument, “I’m not making statements, I’m just asking questions.”
Yeah . That’s the same argument Alex Jones used when he spent years terrorizing the families of Sandy Hook. Ugh.
So maybe Megyn Kelly should just take her MAGA educational background and return to whatever sundown town she came from.
Because an anonymous source once told me that Megyn Kelly is a weasel. I mean, I’m not giving you an excuse for this, I’m just stating the facts that my made-up anonymous source that I don’t have to identify told me. I’m just asking questions.
But if it talks like a weasel …
I hope that woman doesn’t have any children.

Sadly … she has three. Including a 14-year-old daughter.

My biggest fear is that she may have enrolled in the Chuck Schumer School of Charm and Personal Appeal.
Its website offers Public Speaking-101, in which Professor Emeritus Schumer highlights “weasel words are your friend; flip-flopping for fun and profit; recognizing when ‘silence is golden;’ the art of walking back your previously spewed bull crap; smearing your unsuspecting opponents for doing exactly what YOU’RE doing, and how to stare into a camera and blatantly lie to America.”
