Caption Time: The Light Switch

Cracked magazine brought this to my attention, and I could not help but share this with all of you.

There was a company called Hartland Plastics, and they manufactured various plastic and Bakelite products over the years, mostly kitschy stuff like religious trinkets and whatnot.

Well, someone at Hartland Plastics thought they had a great product that would work in every Christian family’s child bedroom. It was a light switch panel, and the panel featured a representation of Jesus and two little children, with the concept of the Fourth Commandment (Honor Thy Father and Mother). You would see this concept every time you turned on the light switch.

I mean, there’s nothing in the design of this product that would inspire any blasphemous content. No, none at all. None.

I mean … there’s nothing unsettling about the little boy and the little girl both looking at the toggle switch, which just happens to be positioned waist-high.

Um … er …

I’ll let all of you have a good laugh at this, then feel free to add a caption or two for it.
