Update.
Last week, I purchased a Nikon F100 35mm camera and added it to my photographic arsenal. Because of this, my beloved Kiev-19 and my Nikkormat FTn are enjoying a peaceful retirement on a shelf.
So now what do I do with this new F100 in my possession?
What do you THINK I’m going to do with it? Make an omelet?
Last Tuesday, I took the camera and packed it with some 100 ISO black and white efke film, and took a walk through downtown Albany. These were just test shots, designed to see how well the camera and I could work together. I shot some buildings and signage, some skylines and some skyscapes.
So here’s some of the best shots I took with the test photo roll. All photos (c) Chuck Miller.

Yeah… I’m liking this F100. And I’m liking that it’s getting a new life and a new run as a main 35mm shooter.

Love architectural pictures,esp. in b/w..

Presentation is a little tight, I think these could do with more white space, or maybe just a link to the flickr slideshow.
So this is the same mount as your DSLR? I guess all of your FX lenses are compatible, that’s pretty convenient. I’ve never extensively used any autofocus film cameras, what do you think of it compared to your D700?

The F100 has the same mount as my D700, so my lenses are interchangeable. So far I’ve only used a Nikon E series pancake lens on the camera, so I haven’t had a chance to test it with one of my autofocus lenses. But I do like the camera, it has the same heft and feel as my D700.
