I need your help today…

No, I’m not looking to dump ice water on my head.  Already took care of that, I donated money to the ALS of New York and yesterday they sent me a Lou Gehrig bobblehead doll.  Nice.

No, I’m not looking for a financial donation or anything like that.  The Blackbird is running quite well, I’m still way ahead of schedule on car payments.

This is kind of important, though.

Something happened 28 years ago today, and I feel like commemorating it.

See, at about 11:09 a.m. on August 20, 1986…

My daughter Cassaundra was born.

Now I could do a K-Chuck Radio mini-post, featuring “Happy Birthday” songs from “Weird Al” Yankovic…

As well as a “Happy Birthday” pop version by the Ting Tings…

Or a montage of Dragon Ball Z clips, as set to the melody of “The Happy Birthday Song,” as performed by the Arrogant Worms…

Yeah, I could do that.

Or I could note that Cassaundra shares her birthday with Number 7, as well as Number 7’s companion…

And with the lead singer of Led Zeppelin…

And with the lead singer of Thin Lizzy…

But I’d like to do something else.

No, I’m not looking to dump ice water on her head.  She’d probably punch me if I did. Plus, I’d have to dump the ice water from 3,000 miles away.

No, I’m not looking for a financial donation for her or anything like that.  She works hard for her money.

Actually, this is what I want, and I hope you – my loyal readers – can help me out.

Cassaundra’s turning 28 today.  Twenty-eight years old.  That’s like having your seventh birthday four times, I guess.

If you’re able, please feel free to post in the comments section of this blog a “Happy Birthday” or two, and maybe a memory of what it was like when you turned 28. That would be cool.

Because you really only get one shot at this life. One chance. You start on the track and you continue running until God says, “Here’s the finish line.”

Cassaundra’s still got a lot of laps on the track to complete.

And I’m glad of that.

So yeah, let’s all wish her a Happy Birthday.

That would be totally cool.
