Jae Deen and Karter Zaher have a tough task ahead of them. The two Canadian college friends have created a rap group, the Deen Squad, with the hopes of bringing an Islamic twist to their hip-hop music.
So far, they’ve had some success, plenty of media coverage and some nice magazine articles to their credit. And the group’s mixtapes are doing quite well.
And although they have built a solid following with their music, they know they’re in a world where the prevailing stereotype of a follower of Islam isn’t pleasant.
For the Deen Squad, they want their music to show that not all Muslims are terrorists, that Islam is not a religion of war.
And their intriguing way of expressing this –
Is with a music video.
Take a look.
“What is more, no wise man, men trained in things divine and human, believed in him (Mohammed) from the beginning. Those who believed in him were brutal men and desert wanderers, utterly ignorant of all divine teaching, through whose numbers Mohammed forced others to become his followers by the violence of his arms.”

As a Roman Catholic I am appalled at the ignorant and out of context use of the words of that Doctor of the Church, St. Thomas Aquinas, OP. Honestly, there is no applicable point to this and where we are today.
How sad. How wrong.
