A radio show must have a logo…

So I’ve been blasting away on my brand new radio show.  It’s been fun, and even though each episode is only an hour in length, I’ve been enjoying making the shows, finding the music, producing the content – in other words, it’s like being back in college, but without the classwork.

But here’s the thing.  This show is great and all, but I think it needs a logo.  An image.  Something that is both cute and catching.

Little problem, though.  I can’t draw.  I can’t doodle.

But I know someone who can.

Meet my friend, comedian and all-around good person Jaye McBride.

Jaye has been drafting some cartoons of late, and even opened up a Patreon site of self-crafted drawings and cartoons.

I pitched Jaye the idea of a cartoon owl, maybe something that involved listening to music or singing into an olde-style ribbon microphone.

A few days later, I received a message.  Jaye had crafted up this little cutie.

We have a winner, folks.

All I needed to do was add a title and the station call letters, and look what I snagged.

Much thanks to Jaye McBride for coming up with this nice concept.  Little birdie’s just got the headphones on and is enjoying 60 minutes of awesome tracks and music, on the Nightowl Radio Show.

This I like.

And this I plan to use.  😀

And as I said before, go visit Jaye’s Patreon site for other cartoons and commissions; and if you want concert and comedy club information, Jaye’s Twitter account is very helpful on that front.
