Hatred lives in a Nashville millinery shop.

I hate that people are equating getting vaccinated against a killer virus with some sort of mass discrimination. And I hate that people are taking that self-styled discrimination to an obscene conclusion.

But if you’re going to be a racist, anti-Semitic clown with your business, then by all means, please be willing to accept your racist, anti-Semitic clown prizes.

Our example features a millinery shop in Nashville. Apparently the owner of HatWRKS has decided that those who are not vaccinated against COVID-19 are to be treated as restricted citizens, and in that person’s deluded decision-making, she came up with this new product for her hat line.

That is Gigi Gaskins, the owner of HatWRKS in Nashville, Tennessee. And that little swatch of fabric she has on her blouse is a crude representation of the Star of David, with the words “Not Vaccinated” printed on it.

What we have here, folks, is a straight-up racist who is using the imagery of the slaughter of 6,000,000 men, women and children – whose only crime was being of the Jewish faith – as her own marketing tool and political statement.

If you haven’t figured out already, Ms. Gaskins is a dyed-in-the-wool Trump supporter. In fact, I have a good idea of where she was a few months ago.

Ugh. My stomach is churning already.

And apparently she wasn’t ashamed to use her hat store as a “cancel culture” outlet. Take a look at her rebranded names for her “Seuss” line of hats.

Um … no.

The moment her statements hit social media, the response was swift and fast. As it should be. Hatred and bigotry and racism needs to leave our world and leave it right now. And this store isn’t helping matters any.

In fact, when challenged about her statements, Ms. Gaskins doubled down like she was playing a 2-7 off-suit in hold’em.

See, this also offends me. She’s now playing on “I will stand with the fallen” as if she’s some soldier in a war against America. She’s no soldier. She’s a hat retailer who is using racist tropes to make money.

She then went even further, treating her “Star of David” response as the equivalent of surviving South African apartheid. Yep. Screen shots don’t lie.

Wow. Apparently she missed the memo about our world battling a fucking pandemic that has killed nearly 600,000 Americans and has sickened millions more. But hey, sell your hats and your QAnon crapola, lady, I guess.

Oh, let’s check out her top sales partners on the HatWRKS website, shall we?

Yeah, might want to update that website a wee bit, Ms. Gaskins.

And before anybody starts boycotting Stetson or Akubra or Bailey headgear, just remember this. As private businesses, they have the right to sell to any store out there. And as private businesess, they have the right to pull their product from a store if they feel that the store’s messages run counter to theirs.

HatWRKS and Ms. Gaskins later issued this “apology if anyone was offended” statement, in the hopes of pulling her foot out of her mouth.

Right. It’s not what you stand for. Trust me on this, Ms. Gaskins. You’ve already shown your willingness to not only spout your racist, anti-Semitic, hurtful views in the past, and your little “Vaccinated Star of David” was the toilet paper cherry on top of the turd sundae. But I know you’re already counting every single dollar that you made from the racists and the hurtful people who will run to buy your products as some sort of “patriot purchase” – you know, the same chuds who fill their entire households with MyPillow fabrics every time Mike Lindell goes on television.

So Ms. Gaskins, congratulations on showing everybody the true color of your black heart.

Shame on you. Begone with your profiteering off of your hatred and bigotry.
