I’m sorry, but I can’t resist a little juvenile humor today.
This came up on my Twitter feed, and it made me smile.
Now if you’re not understanding the joke … Ms. Brittany Gray is doing a news report from station WWMT in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She’s reporting from a town called Climax. Climax is situated between Battle Creek and Kalamazoo.
But for a moment, I saw the CBS 3 logo in the corner, and thought that she might have been working for station KYW in Philadelphia … which would have provided a different type of town named Climax.
Now here’s the thing. Climax is in Western Pennsylvania, and you have to travel a long ways to get ot Climax. You might have to start with your Bird-in-Hand. Maybe work your way through Virginville, avoiding the dreaded Blue Ball, until you’re able to Mount Joy along the way to Intercourse, and spend some time in Paradise. Or maybe afterwards, light one up in Stonersville.
Yes, those are all towns and hamlets in Pennsylvania, and they all have bit of a nudge-nudge wink-wink to them.
So I suspect the reason that Brittany Gray isn’t smiling in that photo is probably because she has reached the wrong Climax.
I described the Climax in Pennsylvania. She’s reporting from the Climax in Michigan.
You know what town is near Climax, Michigan?
Colon, Michigan.
You can make your own jokes now. 😀
