Could you please help Pet Alliance?

This is important. Whatever you can offer to help will be tremendously appreciated.

Like most animal shelters and humane societies, Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando opens up its heart and its facilities to rescue abandoned and hoarded animals, and to hopefully find them new forever homes.

Last Wednesday evening, however, tragedy struck the Pet Alliance.

On that night, a fire tore through Pet Alliance’s building. By the time firefighters arrived on scene, the building was already engulfed.

They rescued as many animals as they possibly could, in fact, here’s a link to some of the body cam footage that showed firefighters trying to coax frightened cats and dogs out of the inferno.

Many of the animals that were rescued are now housed temporarily in Pet Alliance’s sister facility in Samford, Florida. The Orlando structure is a total loss.

And sadly, despite all rescue efforts, as many as ten to twenty cats and kittens perished in the blaze.

Ugh. This is just horrible.

But if you’re able, if you can help in any way, there are some options.

Pet Alliance would really appreciate any donations of wet cat food or wet dog food, which can be purchased on Amazon and sent to Pet Alliance’s Samford, Florida address – 2800 County Home Rd, Sanford, FL 32773.

Monetary donations are also welcome, to help defray any costs in housing these frightened pets. This is the link to donate, if you can.

And finally, if you want to adopt a cat or a dog, animal adoptions are welcome as well. So what if it’s a round-trip to central Florida and back?

Again, if you’re able to help, please consider doing so. Fires are dangerous and deadly and indiscriminate.

Thank you.
