Matt Gaetz extorts diabetics. Film at 11.

The Republican “Troll Caucus” keeps things from getting done. These trolls are prone to grandstanding, deflecting, marginalizing, and just straight-up destroying America.

And today, I’d like to focus my attention – reluctantly – to Rep. Matt Gaetz. You know, the real-life “Butthead” looking for a Beavis. The Congressman that prefers Venmo to PayPal when paying for his underaged trim.

Well, recently Matt Gaetz voted AGAINST capping the price for insulin, a treatment crucial for the management of Type I and Type II diabetes, at $35 a bottle. The current market price for insulin in the United States can cost nearly $300 a bottle without health insurance, and there are diabetics who need at least two bottles a month to live. To live.

Because of this astronomical extortionist price of insulin, some diabetics have been forced to ration their bottles – take half a dose or a quarter of a dose, just to stretch out their supply. And mind you, the insulin produced in America is the exact same formula that has existed for generations. The only thing that’s changed is the price. A price that keep rising.

The House recently passed H.R. 6833, the Affordable Insulin Now Act, which caps the price of insulin at $35/vial. Every House Democrat voted to affirm this bill, as did 12 Republicans.

The ones who voted AGAINST capping the price of insulin? The usual Troll Caucus members. Marjorie Taylor Greene voted against it. Lauren Boebert voted against it. Louis Goemert voted against it. Madison Cawthorn voted against it. And Matt Gaetz voted against it.

Matt Gaetz’ statements on the matter, however, showed that even in a den of weasels, there’s always one weasel that’s weaslier than the rest.

He told people that … well, how about you read it for yourself.

While Democrat posturing of H.R. 6833 victimizes insulin payees as people with an uncontrollable disease that are being taken advantage of and need Big Brother to throw them a raft, lifestyle changes en masse would expeditiously lower demand and the subsequent prices of insulin. 90-95% of people with diabetes have type 2 diabetes, which “can be prevented or delayed with healthy lifestyle changes, such as losing weight, eating healthy food, and being active.” Arbitrary price controls are no substitute for individual weight control. Since 2000, the number of diabetes cases in the U.S. has nearly doubled. The demand for insulin has increased and the requisite price increase has followed suit. In other words, the price of insulin increases as waistlines increase

Wow. Matt Gaetz just found a way to cure diabetes. Hey, by that logic, maybe Matt Gaetz can cure food insecurity by telling people not to eat any.

Fucking clown.

Matt Gaetz is using this whole “you brought your disease on yourself” mentality to his vote. What Matt Gaetz doesn’t realize is that diabetes can hit people in many, many ways. It’s not just linked to obesity. But since Matt Gaetz is obviously needing those Big Pharma lobbying checks for his Venmo account to pay for his latest pecadillos, for him it’s just par for the course.

You know what? Let’s just leave it at that. Because obviously Matt Gaetz supports companies that extort a life-saving medical treatment upon those in need of it.

Yeah. As I said before, Matt Gaetz is a fucking clown.

And a true member of the Republican Troll Caucus.
