I’m ready for this. And you should be as well.
The Albany Patroons, the best local professional sports team in the Capital District bar none, have just announced their upcoming home and away schedule for the 2024 TBL season. It’s posted below.

And there’s a lot to unpack here. The season starts on March 1st when the Patroons beat the Jamestown Jackals, followed by a Saturday evening contest where the Gold and Kelly Green take the Connecticut Crusaders out behind the Armory and beat the crap out of them.
After a successful mid-March road trip, the Pats return home for a Thursday-Friday tilt to take apart the Virginia Valley Vipers, followed by a grounding of the Frederick Flying Cows. Hey diddle diddle, indeed.
There’s plenty to take from this 26-game schedule, but the main thing I take is that after we go 26-0, we enter the TBL playoffs and we enact some “unfinished business” on certain teams. Like the Shreveport Mavericks, who had the unmitigated gall to claim the championship on our home court in 2021. Or the St. Louis Griffins, who halted our march to the TBL championship in 2022. Yeah. Chuck doesn’t forget. Trust me on this.
If you can’t tell already … I’m super-psyched about the upcoming season.
Trust me. You should be as well. Get your tickets now.
What’s up with Newfoundland not coming to Albany?

Newfoundland plays in the Basketball Superleague, so Albany goes there for games that count toward their standings. Several other TBL teams will travel to Canada this year to play Superleague squads in their buildings.

Maybe that’s next for the Patroons? Joining the Super League?

Is the 4/6 game home or away? The date is in gold and it doesn’t have an @; but the listing is in white.
