What’s Up in the Neighborhood, March 9, 2024

It’s a bad Daylight Saving Time routine for me. I don’t set my clocks forward before I go to bed. I set them forward on the Saturday morning when I wake up. That way, I’m not forgetting to do it at night and finding out on Sunday morning that I’m an hour behind in my life. Can’t have that.

For me, “setting my clocks” only involves my wristwatch (a Bulova battery-operated timepiece I received from my girlfriend on my birthday), my alarm clock (an old General Electric LED beeper that my girlfriend gave me when she heard I didn’t have one), and the clock on my car (it’s one of the reasons why I keep the owner’s manual in the car, just so I can remember which buttons to press and in what order).

But with all that … I still have a Saturday morning recap ready for you, covering all the blogs and photos and thoughts of the bloggers and photographers and thinkers on my personal blogroll. Plus, I’m also reconditioning my mind to think it’s 8:30 a.m. and I’m late with the blog, rather than seeing it as 7:30 and being on time. So there’s that. 😀

Have a great weekend, everybody! And remember … move the clock forward an hour tonight. Or just operate on Central Standard Time for six months, if that works for you.
