“The Sheep Detectives” and “The Testament of Ann Lee” could be my serious eyebleach right now

It’s been a rough few weeks. The horror in Minnesota. Climate change-enhanced storms ready to pulverize the neighborhood. Prices skyrocketing on everything out there.

I need something to help me get through all this.

And it may involve this upcoming motion picture.

Let me explain.

In times of turmoil, I’ve sometimes relied on eyebleach. No, that does not mean splashing my face with Clorox. Eyebleach are videos or pictures of peaceful moments. Animals at play. Calming streams. Nighttime skies.

Or in this case … a movie that looks quite charming.

Let me present to you … the Sheep Detectives.

This looks funny and charming. This could get me through some serious angst and trauma.

But that’s debuting in February.

I need something to appear … like … maybe this weekend.

How about a musical … about the spiritual leader of the Shaker movement?

And it enters wide release this weekend, beginning at Albany’s Spectrum theater on Delaware Avenue.

May I present … The Testament of Ann Lee.

Look, I’ll take what I can get right now. My personal life is more scrambled than egg-drop soup. And every time I see a news report, I want to cry.

Maybe a few hours spent at the cinema may help me get through these turbulent times.

I certainly hope.
