Why in the world did I buy three of these guys?
What is wrong with my mental status?
Chuck – a man whose gardening skills are so poor, they could kill a DRAWING of a plant?
Well … I bought three of these.

I bought a baby Easter cactus. Three of them, to be precise.
My goal? Get some up-close photos of the cacti with my Nikkor medical lens, and see if I can capture some beauty.
And to make sure the plants aren’t completely damaged by their being in my presence …
I’m only keeping them for 24 hours, and then I’ll donate them to a home that has better skills at caring for such treasures than I.
Right now I’ve got all three of them parked on a windowsill, hoping for some sunshine today so that the blooms can open nice and wide and I can capture their beauty in incredible detail.
But for now … I’ll just make sure they don’t fall off the windowsill or suffer any other possible Chuck-castrophe.
Check back with me in 24 hours. Hopefully I’ve caught some great images.
And if not … you can see the damage afterwards.
Bachelor Gardening, as it is. 😀
Have faith!
Do your thing, then after the blooms to drop off try propagating.
Easy peasy – just pinch off a couple of leaves at the joint, root in water, then pot.
You’ll have a plantation before you know it!

Sorry, superfluous “to.”

I am a serial indoor plant killer. there, I’ve confessed. but it’s not intentional, I swear. I wrote a post not too long ago about how shocked I am that I have managed to keep one plant alive for over a year, seemingly by accident.
