Your eyes do not deceive you. I updated my blog photo.

Many years ago, I had a professional headshot session, and the photos looked fantastic. And I used one of those blog photos as my “avatar” for this blog post and for other social media platforms.

The other day, however, I felt that the photo didn’t represent my current look any more.

First off, that photo shows a much fatter me. And it shows me cleanshaven.

I’ve been rocking a goatee for years (I think all the good hair went from the top of my head to my chinny chin chin), and after several different diabetic medicines and injections, I’m down from 245 to 220.

So yesterday, while I was out on a photo shoot …

I felt it was time for a new head shot.

I mean, I had my gear in place at the time … and I had my cell phone with me …

What the hell. Let’s just do it.

So I “let’s just did it.”

Yep, that’s me with my pink-skinned Nikon F2S (“Nikon Athena”), along with a 300mm f/4.5 lens on the chassis. I know I look a bit unkempt (hey, the wind was blowing out there), but I’m going to keep this picture up on the blog farm for a while.

I think it actually works for me.

And I’m good with it.

And I’ll go with it from here.
