It’s Competition Season time, and in the past my entries for the Eastern States Exposition (the “Big E”) are usually submitted in late August. Apparently that has changed; there’s a new deadline of July 1 for this year’s show.
So I gathered my images from the past year and made my submission list. Thankfully, the Big E also increased the number of photos allowed; you can enter up to three in any specific category, although you will pay $5/entry. So I went with seven photos and one non-photo, and submitted my digital entries this morning. The Big E judges will look over what I’ve submitted, and if any are accepted, they’ll let me know in August.
So here’s the seven photos I went with for 2026.

And the non-photo? Well, that involves a project I’ve worked on for about a year and a half … one that I’ve chronicled on this blog. You know … this big-ass latch hook rug.

Entries were submitted this morning.
Now I can kick back and wait for the results.
Here we go.
