If you’ve followed the recent drama involving the local Italian pizzeria A Taste of Italy, you know that they stepped in deep doo-doo and their only way to get out of it is to step in more doo-doo.
Rewind. A bigoted, racist, Islamophobic post after the death of a young boy, Harbe Nagi, was released under the Taste of Italy social media identity. Eventually the owners stated that they were sorry it went out under the TOI identity, they were supposed to have sent it under a burner account. Okay, Jan.
A few weeks later, stories appeared that DoorDashers were picking up food in “ghost kitchens” that operated under the A Taste of Italy roof. Essentially an effort to obscure their identity.
Well … we’re not done with these people yet. Because in addition to all this drama, there was the additional breaking news that A Taste of Italy owes a few dollars to the tax people. And by “a few dollars,” well, here’s a snapshot from the Daily Gazette.

And after a few weeks of protests – and the owners addressing the protests by stealing the protestors’ signs, blaring music and horn honking at them, etc. …
This morning I saw that A Taste of Italy has now resorted to their latest tactic.
And that’s begging for money on GoFundMe.
No, seriously.

If you think for one minute I’m going to provide the GoFundMe link for this, you’re nuts. I do not support racists, bigots, or Islamophobes. These yonks can go kick garlic knots for all I care.
Yep. They owe back taxes, they treat protestors with contempt – what more do you want from them?
I don’t need these clowns any more than I need a barium enema.
Just not worth it.
