Okay, here’s the deal. I can’t currently concentrate on anything other than Trivia Bowl 9 today. I need something to calm my nerves. Something to help me focus.
Something like…
If you’ve read my blog for a while, you know that one of my favorite Japanese anime TV shows as the classic Space Battleship Yamato, which was known as Star Blazers in America. I did a blog post about the show being re-filmed as a live-action theatrical release, which was completed a couple of years ago.
Well, here it is. Live and ready for everyone to watch. It’s the live-action Star Blazers movie. And if you hit the closed-caption control, it will actually put English subtitles on your screen. You know – subbed, not dubbed.
So while my Street Academy team is gearing up for the big game today…
I didn’t want to let any of my readers down.
So if you’re into science fiction and Japanese anime, watch this movie. I hope you enjoy it.
And by the time the movie’s over…
I’ll either be celebrating another Trivia Bowl championship –
Or I’ll be shaking the hands of the team that DID win the championship.
Good luck to all the competitors this afternoon. GO STAR FORCE!
Good luck !!

I saw that. I’m hoping they do a live-action Battle of the Planets, a really violent one too.

Jango – any live-action version that turns 7-Zark-7 into a pile of melted scrap metal is perfect for my taste.

Chuck, I hear the final category today is “Before they were South American Stars.” Good luck.

The wave motion gun would be more fearsome if they had spelled receiving right.
BTW, TBIX was not an easy game. The service however, was 100% better than last year.
