Mark your calendars for May 27, 2015

In 2013, I had my first gallery art show, “A Dream in the Dash,” featuring several of my artworks and photographs.  The show was the opening event in the St. Agnes Cemetery “Living Room” art gallery, and by all accounts the show was a tremendous success.

So… what if I could have another art show?  Would you come to see it?  Would you buy an artwork or three?

Thanks to the Spectrum 8 Theater … it’s possible.  And it will happen next year.

Beginning March 27, 2015, and running for the next two months, my second solo art show – which doesn’t have a title yet – will premiere at the Spectrum, as part of the Spectrum 8’s continuing exhibition of the works of Capital District artists.

I realize I’m mentioning this nearly six months ahead of time, but sometimes you have to spread the news when and where you’re able.  Hey, people may have plans in May of 2015.

At the moment, the show does not have a name; I’m bandying around a few different possibilities, and will keep you apprised as things progress.

I will tell you, though, that the artworks will all be “ready to hang” framed and matted pieces, and – for a change in style for me – all will be signed on the front mattes.  So if you want to show off a Chuck Miller artwork in your home or office, now you can have a piece that’s clearly signed and titled.  How cool is that?

Trust me, there’s at least twenty pictures I’d like to enter in this gallery show; but I’m restricting myself to twelve images – mostly because I’d like to show off my best works; and also because there’s only so much room on the gallery walls.

But I can tell you that some of my best and most successful pictures will be in the gallery show.  It will include pieces like The Agfa Bridge Over Ansco Lake, Midnight at the Palace Theater and Jesus Saves, along with new artworks like The Zipless Chuck and Ceci n’est pas un hôtel and that photo I’m taking next week in the middle of a snowstorm that all of you are going to love.

All of these artworks will be framed and matted and ready to display on your walls.  And each piece will be autographed and titled, so you can be proud to show off your artworks.

As I said before, the show does not have an official “title” yet.  YET.  I have a few options, but A Dream in the Dash is not one of the titles.  That title has been retired, as it was part of my successful May 2013 solo show debut at “The Living Room” gallery at St. Agnes Cemetery.

So if you’re free on May 25, 2015… and you want to see a great motion picture or two at the Spectrum… in addition to buying one of my artworks… I’d love to see you there.
