I’m really hoping that everyone within the sound of my blog is able to help on this.
As you know, Mack Brin Farms in Ballston Spa recently suffered a horrific fire that destroyed their main barn and cost the lives of over 100 rabbits, along with some chickens and their prized San Clemente Island sire Chile.
Rebuilding a barn and repairing all the damage can take time. And it can also take money.
And although there are some gofundme pages that have already raised substantial amounts of money…
Mack Brin Farms still could use all the help you can offer. Winter is coming, and the surviving animals will need some sort of a structure before the snows arrive.
This Sunday, Saratoga Winery will host a fundraiser for Mack Brin Farms. The fundraiser includes a wine pull, a meal ($20 = burger sliders and a wine or beer beverage), as well as a 50/50 raffle.
I know I’ve mentioned this before, but Mack Brin Farms has done a helluva job in terms of saving and preserving the rare San Clemente Island goat herd, as well as operating an organic produce farm with plenty of tasty, natural-grown vegetables.
And in one horrifying moment, they lost not just a barn, but a part of their lives.
Let’s do what we can to help get Mack Brin Farms back to productivity. They are our neighbors. And we should always help our neighbors in need.
Trust me on this one.
