Pastor Charlie Muller has achieved so much in his quest to make the Capital Region a better place. And this year, he needs your help.
See, Pastor Muller has taken care of many young people over the years, those who have survived abusive home lives, or who need to find a better home than the streets. And for these young women, Christmas is an extremely difficult holiday.
That’s why Pastor Muller needs your help this holiday season.
I’ll let him explain in this Facebook post. Click on the link below and it will bring you directly to Pastor Muller’s FB appeal.
“For the last 16 years 34 teen girls who have no home for Christmas have received a full Christmas right down to the stocking’s. This one girl recognized me and told me that for the last 3 years she received Christmas and before that she never had a Christmas.
If you would like to help this year all you have to do is shop for teen girl gifts. I need extra help this year because in 7 days we will close on our first children’s home. I usually give each girl around 15 gifts from art sets to electronics to unique gifts that teenage girls would like. These girls will have no home and this will be the Christmas that they receive. We give them gifts on Christmas Eve 8 to 9 P.M. I need 34 girls adopted I cannot give names because these girls are being protected. Thanks Friends.”
Here’s how this works, in Pastor Muller’s words.
“You can bring the gifts to Victory Colonie then we do one night that we set up all piles and ad some gifts make sure all piles are equal with gifts we supply gift wrap then we all wrap and get stockings ready. Then on Christmas Eve we go and give the gifts to all the girls and you and your family can come and share Christmas with that girl. 8 to 9 P.M. Christmas Eve.”
Pastor Muller will also accept financial donations to the girls, which can be sent to:
Victory Christian Church
118 Quail Street
Albany NY 12206
Again, whatever you can do to help these girls out – clothing, art supplies, whatever you feel a teenage girl would appreciate on Christmas. If you have the ability, if you have the chance, let’s all extend the holiday season so that everyone can enjoy the holidays.
