The “Real Men Wear Pink” trivia charity fundraiser – you should play in it!

If you want to help a good cause, and you and your friends have a wealth of trivia knowledge trapped in your collective cerebellums, may I suggest that you participate in this upcoming fundraiser at Skyloft in Crossgates Mall on October 19.

The event, “Real Men Wear Pink,” is a Saturday afternoon trivia tournament, and is sponsored by Camelot Print & Copy Centers.  Camelot has a few “Real Men Wear Pink” charity fundraisers this month – seeing as October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  In fact, if you click on this link here, you can make a donation to Camelot Print & Copy Centers, whether you plan on attending the trivia game or not.

If you ARE planning on participating in the trivia game, it’s $25/person, eight person team max, with the donations made at that link above.  It’s $30/person at the door, so it helps to register early.

The game will be hosted by Kevin Baker of Trivia Nights Live fame, and the proceeds will help bring us closer to a cure for breast cancer.  We’ve come so far in eliminating and minimizing and treating several forms of cancer – the fight’s not over, but cancer’s running out of jabs.  Let’s put cancer down for the count like Mike Tyson over Michael Spinks.

I can tell you right now, the Street Academy trivia team will be there.  I’ve known people who have knocked their own cancer into remission, and I’ve known people who fought every day until they could fight no more.  And I’m sure you know of some as well.  Here’s your chance to be part of the fight.

Again, if you want to participate in the trivia fundraiser, go to this link and donate $25/team member, with the phrase “Trivia Night” as part of your submission.  Yes, there will be prizes and a 50/50 raffle – but the biggest prize of all is that we will be one step closer to knocking breast cancer out of the picture.

Let’s do this.

Let’s ALL do this.
