God, it seems like a lifetime ago.
I had this idea to enter some of my 3D film photos into this Austrian photography contest. Figured I’d take a chance and see if there were any decent results from it.
Those were the photos I entered.
And yesterday, I checked the competition’s online website … and …
None of them made the cut.
The gallery of accepted artwork is on this link, including the award winners.
Didn’t make the cut.
Now I could use a ton of excuses if I wanted to, everything from COVID to a broken ankle to thinking I could pull this off with Nikon EM cameras.
But the truth is … I essentially brought sporks to a knife fight.
And if I do this again … I need to shoot digitally. Whether it means acquiring another Nikon Df, or getting two of the same type of digital shooter, I need to do it that way so that I can improve my images for next time.
Oh yeah, you know there will be a next time.
This was certainly my “you tried, Chuck, now you know what the stakes are, you can try harder next time and get it right” phase.
Come on, don’t all of you have that phase in your life as well? 😀
