So last week, I mentioned that I was currently battling this new WordPress editor that WordPress “volunteered” upon me. Some readers have offered tips and tricks on how to get back to the old classic editor, but after much thought, I decided that I need to make this new editor work. At some point, those tips and tricks will get disabled, leaving me with this new editing system, whether I like it or not. So … let’s try to make chicken salad out of these chicken feathers, shall we?
The one thing I’m still trying to wrangle with this new system is the outlining system. I prefer that my weekend blog recaps are outlined – with a subject line for the header, and the blog posts below it. I think I found the outlining setup in this portal, so let’s see if it works.

Blogger also introduced a new one in September. First time using it I accidently deleted a blog, nut a new feature allowed me to repost it in the same day/month slot it had. Seems to work a bit better with the most recent update to MS Edge..

I’m not really able to do links as I used to on my blog, so I’m using that linking symbol on the top. Then I can add the title by using a wheel/star symbol. Much slower than just using a little HTML
But I still compose in my test blog, copy the text to my real blog, then add the visual and links. The process adds a lot of time (an hour to my Oct 15 post) when I’m doing a link-heavy post.
At least I’m not composing in those damn blocks yet, because I’d be doing three-paragraph posts otherwise.
