What’s Up in the Neighborhood, January 7 2023

I’ve got a lot of things on the plate this weekend – the National Basketball League of Canada kicks off its 11th season with the Sudbury (Ont.) Five hosting the opening game tonight. And tomorrow, I need the Pittsburgh Steelers to beat the Cleveland Browns (and Buffalo to defeat New England) (and the Jets to clobber the Dolphins) and my beloved Black and Gold will reach the postseason. Even just a win against Cleveland ensures that Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin has his 16th consecutive season of a .500 record or better in the NFL. No other head coach has achieved that in his first 16 years on the sidelines. No one coach.
