Muster Dogs is the cutest little reality TV show ever.

You know that thing where people post online phrases like, “Can you recommend a TV show on Netflix / Hulu / Disney+?” and everybody responds with the same five or six shows that everyone else has seen?

You’re going to thank me for recommending this show. It is absolutely the cutest reality TV show I’ve ever seen in my life.

Let me introduce you to Muster Dogs.

Muster Dogs follows the lives of five Kelpie puppies as they are trained to work on farms. The dogs learn how to herd sheep and cattle, providing farmers a calmer and more efficient manner to control herds – in other words, an alternative to riders on horseback or trucks and helicopters.

And here’s the rub. It normally takes a dog trainer three years to fully train a farm dog. This show wants to speed up the process – to hopefully train the five Kelpies in a single year. In that respect, the puppies are given to five different farms, and each pup’s progress is monitored to reach several different milestones.

Actually … why don’t you watch the trailer for the series and see for yourself?

Oh my God, those dogs are so cute. And they’re so full of energy. And I just want to take all five of them home with me. And then I remember that I live in an apartment, and I don’t own a farm with sheep or cattle. And my landlord doesn’t allow pets.

So with that in mind, I can instead watch Muster Dogs and see if Gossip, Annie, Chet, Spice and Lucifer are able to go from littermates to working farm dogs in a year’s time.

Muster Dogs currently airs on Netflix, and runs for four episodes. Give it a watch if you can.
